title>Lady Liberty Defended: The Dems don't like Republican fundraising efforts...
With local Republican House of Delegate candidates far outraising their Democratic counterparts during this election cycle, some area Democrats are questioning the source of the donations.Dem/S don't believe that conservatives are capable of banding together to raise money to support those who oppose the Democratic rush to facist government and outrageously burdensome taxation. I know this is why we contributed to Republican candidates. While we have other purposes for our money, I would much rather support these candidates now than pay stupendously high taxes, suffer medical care denial, or endure government intrusion into the most private moments of my life for the rest of my life. We'll do it all again next year to oppose the facists and communists attacking our way of life.
"I think voters should look at where the money is coming from," said 20th District Democratic candidate Erik Curren. "I know my opponent gets a lot of money from trade groups, and I think with large donations, voters are going to wonder who you are loyal to."
A breakdown of campaign cash contributions of more than $100 for the period between Sept. 1 and Oct. 21 shows Republican candidates in the 20th, 24th and 25th District races all lead their Democratic opponents in contributions from individuals. But the greatest discrepancy comes in the cash lead the GOP candidates have in donations from political action committees, businesses and trade groups.
