I got to vent a bit...
Tonight who should come to my door seeking my vote but Erik Curren who is running for a seat in the House of Delegates representing the 20th district. He certainly demonstrated patience as his introduction was all I needed to vent my spleen on a number of issues, many of which, he cannot affect even if elected. We, when Mr. Curren could get a word in edgewise, touched on jobs, health care, government spending and taxation. I feel I was able to fully express my dissatisfaction with government representation at all levels. Whatever his views may be, he was certainly patient with me.

I could talk about his positions but will save that for later. I think that he deserves some credit for being a pleasant sounding board to what may have appeared to be an irate voter!

For us, the American ideal is personified in the concept of self-reliance, work ethic, honesty/forthrightness, decency, personal property rights, family, religion, an ability to defend oneself from criminals and crooked politicians, and personal responsibility.

Whoop-ti-do, the forum for the rest of us...
