Calling out the President Pays Off - for both sides
When Representative Joe Wilson spoke out loud at the President's health care speech in front of a joint session of Congress, he was roundly criticized and apologized for his outburst. (haven't you ever been so caught up in something that you inadvertently spoke out loud?) It was widely reported that his opponent had garnered $250,000 in contributions due to the hate speech. It is now reported to be over $1MILLION. Apparently, there are a number of people who valued Rep. Wilson's honesty.
He's brought in over $750,000 in contributions. Fitting.
