Judicial activism has reduced freedom and liberty for ALL Americans. Like those schoolyard baseball umpires who rule for their favorite team, judicial activists so reduce faith in the system that they ultimately destroy it. Here, Judge Sotomayor admits and then self-edits the judicial activism in which she believes. This is NOT the sort of person we want on the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS).
For us, the American ideal is personified in the concept of self-reliance, work ethic, honesty/forthrightness, decency, personal property rights, family, religion, an ability to defend oneself from criminals and crooked politicians, and personal responsibility.
