Forgiveness and Grief
We see a lot of polarization in today's political climate. Hillary Rodham Clinton is bound and determined to beat Barrack Hussein Obama for the Democrat Party's presidential nomination and both are equally determined to beat the "evil" Republican Party's nominee. Supporters on all sides are so over heated on the subject that one supporter actually stabbed another. And so it goes...
In the midst of this we seem to have more and more troubled, illogical young people attempting to make something, anything, of their lives through the sensational killing of others and to likewise avoid facing the consequences (in this world) of that choice by committing suicide at the same time. This happened in Colorado Springs recently but fortunately there was somebody likewise armed to resist this evil act and stop it before other innocents died. Today,
Pastor Jim put up a post about the aftermath of this act.
The thing that struck me is that, in this time of apparent polarization, these families of and victims of this one young man who committed this act came together in an act of mutual condolence. It is a wonderful thing and I thank Pastor Jim for sharing this with us.
