The week in news (maybe more...)
The news has been getting me down. Well, not the part about the surge suceeding. Oh, yeah, you don't hear about that much, do you? Must be a secret (from everyone but Fox News watchers and the islamofacists). Anyway, the rest of the news gets me down.
- CNN can't be trusted to do news? Say it isn't so Anderson Cooper! I mean, CNN loaded the Republican debate with Democrat operatives while loading the Democrat debate with Mrs. Clinton (aka Hillary) lovers. It can't be, can it. I mean CNN is full of "journalists", right?
- Rep. Murtha
thinks the surge is working but the Iraqis "have got to take care of themselves." Oh, yeah, you think so John? Hmmmm, must be that genius military officer's mind working there. Think perhaps that this might buy the government some time to consolidate and encourage participants to fully commit to the government? Maybe?
Well, that's not true, there's some good news.

Venezuelans are demonstrating against the Hugo Chavez power grab. Oh, if he can Hugo will just do what he wants anyway. I'm betting that most of the police and army will just go along to get along. But, at the very least, the public is showing that it isn't fooled by this punk.
- Hollywood is not making money from anti-war films.
"Lions for Lambs" isn't doing well. Brian dePalma's "Redacted" made only $25K it's first weekend... That's nationwide. Seems that there isn't the appetite for this sort of fare that the Hollywood types think there ought to be.
