Government Funding of Science
I've mixed feeling on this. On the one hand, I like that the government funds things like influenza virus vaccinations. That's a good thing. It protects our lives, the economy, the nation AND it is based on proven science. But then... Then you have Al Gore, high priest of Global Warmology, trying to get us to throw away our economy AND dump millions (billions?) of tax
payer dollars into preventing something over which we have no control. Why, bad science meets politics. Al wants control of money and you. He isn't really believing this as he's not given up a thing
but he wants to force you to give up
everything. Give up your car, your house (if too big for your family), your comfort (AC in the summer and heat in the winter), and so forth. Lots of these pseudo scientists are the same. Don't think that scientists will lie (like children don't lie)? Think again. Remember cold fusion? A certain South Korean cloning scientist? The coming ice age? To add insult to injury and give these misdirected idiots my money to force me to live one of the various lifestyles they deem mandatory is unacceptable. I'm not going to convert to Islam and I'm not converting to Global Warmology.
