Election Results
Many, including myself, are saddened by the choices the US electorate has made. Reasoned response has been replaced by emotional reaction. Some of the finest this nation had to offer were defeated by a combination of deceit (the liberal national Democrat leadership offering "conservative" Dems in opposition to conservative Republicans) and the anger of a conservative base deserted by to many who put party ahead of their constituents.
I want to know why they didn't accomplish the following:
- permanent elimination of the "death"/inheritance tax?
- permanent reduction of tax cuts or income tax reform?
- secure borders and the removal of illegal aliens?
- national concealed carry reciprocity?
- concealed carry in National Parks?
Still, I voted for my Senator and Representative as they at least worked towards those goals. I am hoping that there will be gridlock such that Bush can pursue his foreign policy. That is critical. Nothing else matters if we are destroyed or isolated by the islamofacists.
