House Rejects Timetable for Iraq Pullout
In a 256-153 vote, the GOP-led House approved a nonbinding resolution that praises U.S. troops, labels the Iraq war part of the larger global fight against terrorism and says an "arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment" of troops is not in the national interest. (The Associated Press)

I understand that the Dems were upset about this as the resolution made them pick sides. The Dems hate to pick sides, don't they? Of course I'm of the opinion that they don't mind picking the side that is AGAINST the USofA, but that's something else entirely, right? Notice that some of the Dems must have voted YES on the resolution. Want to know who? Here's the roll-call...

In the interest of our republic, I'd suggest that you take a moment to collect yourself and let your representative know how you feel about his or her vote.

For us, the American ideal is personified in the concept of self-reliance, work ethic, honesty/forthrightness, decency, personal property rights, family, religion, an ability to defend oneself from criminals and crooked politicians, and personal responsibility.
