  Ann Coulter, Cruel or Correct?
Ann Coulter, the sharp-tongued, conservative, pundit, has been criticized for her criticism of the "Jersey Girls". Those 4 widows of 9/11 victims have received much money for their husbands' deaths AND been lauded in the mass media for their pursuit of hearings into why and how the US government "allowed" the terrorist attack to take place.

So is Ann cruel or is she correct? From my point of view she's right on although I'd not have used such language. These folks who promulgate their political views using their relatives' deaths seem to all be liberals, don't they? There is Cindy "Mother" Sheehan whose son was killed in Iraq. That she left and was estranged from that son and has repeated the behavior with another son seems to matter not at all. Michael Berg's son Nick was beheaded by the late Zarqawi and video was promulgated via the internet. I'm sure the list of these pitiful people goes on. I don't think that the fact that they have suffered such a personal (or not really so personal, huh Cindy?) loss absolves them from responsibility to tell the truth or to reason.

For us, the American ideal is personified in the concept of self-reliance, work ethic, honesty/forthrightness, decency, personal property rights, family, religion, an ability to defend oneself from criminals and crooked politicians, and personal responsibility.
